Hello expecting mamas! I have a little secret for you today…pregnancy can be expensive! Yikes, between medical bills, grocery costs and wardrobe updates it starts to add up and that doesn’t even factor in the cost of buying stuff for baby. I have read so many posts about what to buy in the first, second and third trimesters to make your pregnancy life easier and I have to say, a lot of it is a sales technique. So how did I find my best pregnancy purchase? I’ll explain…

Pregnancy is not forever, babies are expensive, and saving your pennies to spoil that little human and take care of costs to keep your own stress down is more important.

Don’t get me wrong, pregnancy feels like a lifetime, heck it’s almost a year of gestation, so it makes sense to buy items that will make that timeline feel less miserable and long, but if you are on a budget like me, you can’t afford the $100 pillows and don’t want to spend your extra income on updating a huge amount of your wardrobe that you may never use again. With that in mind, I have been really picky about what I buy during this pregnancy.

We are officially 22 weeks! Yay! Starting month 6! And ladies, in the past 5 months I have only purchased one item for my own pregnant comfort. That’s it! ONE! It has been the best buy ever though and something I really will use for not only my remaining 4 months, most likely 6-12 after baby gets here. Wanna know what it is?!

Drum roll please…

A three pack of nursing bras! Tada! That’s my big buy! Bra’s lol. This has brought me so much comfort! I can handle securing my pant buttons with hair ties, wearing long tank tops to cover my tummy and using pillows I already have to get comfortable at night…but there is one thing I can’t handle. Cramming my now massive, painful, itchy boobs into an underwire pushup bra. NO WAY JOSE! The thought of it makes me want to puke!

I purchased this exact 3 pack from amazon about a month ago and it has brought me comfort beyond measure! I don’t feel completely grossed out at the thought ofputting a bra on in the morning! I can even sleep in these comfortable bad guys if I want! And three means I don’t have to wear the same sweaty gross bra for 2 weeks before I get time to wash it…don’t judge me;-)

But really mama, I know that buying every single items on the top 5 pins you find about ‘Pregnancy Must-Have’s’ is tempting, but think about what you really really need, and what you might be able to live without. Pregnancy is not forever, babies are expensive, and saving your pennies to spoil that little human and take care of costs to keep your own stress down is more important.

I hope you find your one item you can’t live without during pregnancy that makes you happy and your wallet relax. Let me know if you have something YOU use(d) in pregnancy to make your life better.
