Picking out a Bridal Shower Outfit can be so fun!
You’re about to get showered with love by your closest family and friends just because you’re marrying your best friend. Does it get any better than that? Nothing can make you feel more like a princess than opening presents in front of a crowd of people that love you and want you to have a wonderful future, so why not dress like it’s the best party ever?
That is the attitude I adopted for my bridal shower. It was a bit intimidating and stressful to think about sitting in front of people as they judged my reaction to their well thought out and generous gifts. So I decided to dress up and have fun with it.
Finding Inspiration
I, of course, looked through Pinterest to find the perfect outfit, but as usual I was less than a week from the shower date and didn’t have time to go shopping. I found a look that I wanted to mimic:
I loved the look, and since my bridal shower was going to be in a barn I figured that the denim would be a perfect touch (also, I own a denim shirt, so that helps😉)
Finding My Own Version
I then searched for the perfect tutu on Amazon that was within my price range and chose this one:
I picked the white skirt with the pink sash in a size 4.
When it arrived it was very wrinkled from being in the packaging, so I hung it up for a day. When that didn’t work I stuck it in my dryer on the steam function. It steamed out the wrinkles nicely.
The Final Outfit
I wore it to my bridal shower with a pink slip underneath and received so many compliments. It was a budget friendly and quick way to create a cute and fun outfit for a special occasion.
What do you think? Would you wear a tutu to your bridal shower?
